BACK TO THE FUTURE returns to the big screen

The news of Back to the Future returning to the big screen since it first came out in theaters in the summer of 1985 has me ready to jump in a DeLorean, gun it to 88 mph and see some serious shiz. AMC Theatres will hold two special screenings of the film digitally remastered on 158 screens in 40 cities.

Not only does the theatrical release commemorates the 25th anniversary since the movie came out, but it also commemorates the year I was born. Back to the Future and its two sequels holds a special place in my heart ever since my parent bought all three movies on VHS through the Columbia Video Club. Does anyone remember that?

I even saw the third movie with my parents at a movie theater in North Carolina during our vacation. These movies have had many moments that have been burned in my memory from the fire wheel tracks left in the parking lot at the Twin Pines Mall to the hoverboard sequence in the second movie.

The screenings will be held on Saturday October 23 at 12:30 p.m. and Monday October 25 at 7:00 p.m.

All guest will receive a special full-sized commemorative poster for the movie and each theater will hold special movie-related giveaways prior to the movie as part of the experience.

  Man, this is heavy.
