Opening Nov.5-Due Date, For Colored Girls and Megamind

  The month of November kicks off this off with three new films opening wide this weekend, each offering something different for moviegoers.

  The Hangover director Todd Phillips and co-star Zach Galifianakis reunite once again along with Oscar-nominee Robert Downey, Jr. in Phillips’ latest road company, Due Date. An expectant first-time father (Downey, Jr.) hitches a ride with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) on a road trip in order to make it for the birth of his child.  

  Director, writer and producer Tyler Perry adapts Ntozake Shange’s Obie Award-winning play, For Colored Girls. In this ensemble drama, the film focuses on different African-American women and the different issues that have to deal with and features an array of African-American actors including Janet Jackson, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Goldberg and Phylicia Rashad.

  DreamWorks Animation makes is looking to score big this weekend with its latest film that features the voices of Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt, Megamind. The animated movie is about a supervillain (Ferrell) who ultimately conquers his nemesis (Pitt), but realizes his life is boring when he is not fighting a superhero.
